WHAT IS MY PHILOSOPHY?

I believe in the Science of Reading, which supports the Structured Literacy approach. Reading is an acquired skill and does not come naturally or easily for most children. It must be explicitly taught. With the right evidence-based instruction, children with Dyslexia can learn to read, spell, and write successfully.

This directly shapes how I teach. I use the Orton-Gillingham and Speech-to-Print (EBLI) approaches because they meet the individual needs of students with Dyslexia. Both approaches are individualized, diagnostic, prescriptive, multisensory, structured, sequential, and cumulative, and are emotionally sound in their delivery.

To achieve the best results, I provide one-to-one instruction only, delivered virtually via Zoom. It is recommended that your child attend a minimum of 2 sessions and a maximum of 5 sessions per week, as the highest success rates come with frequent, consistent instruction. Sessions are 45 or 60 minutes, but can be adjusted based on your child's age, attention span, individual needs, or schedule.
